Honeybugs

3 - 18 months

we focus on providing a safe space for them to develop through  all their milestones, to interact with others to develop social skills and establish routine. We do this through quiet and active play, in indoor and outdoor spaces

Bumblebees

18 months - 2 years

We start to follow a more structured routine in class. We focus on developing gross and fine motor skills and language development. This is all done through directed and sensory play.

Ladybirds

2-3 years

In this class we focus on more structured play, this includes lots of indoor, outdoor and sensory activities. The children start to learn about rules, independence, playing together and sharing.

Caterpillars

3- 4 years

In this age group we start to focus more on fine motor skills, such as holding a scissor and cutting, gripping a crayon correctly and drawing lines and shapes. We do lots of sensory activities and spend a lot of time learning about how to make smart choices that result in happy consequence. 

Butterflies

4 - 5 years

At this age, the children’s language skills are developed and we start to focus more on developing conversational skills. Gross and smaller motor muscle development continues through indoor and outdoor play. We focus on social and emotional skills. ie. choice and consequence, how to be kind, compassionate and thoughtful. At this age, we are teaching more independence, ie. getting dressed, eating with a fork, going to the toilet, etc

Grade R

5 - 6 years

The children are being prepared for grade 1. All the skills they have learnt are now consolidated. Our Grade R learners will now read simple books and have a good understanding of numbers and problem solving skills when they move onto big school.
