We believe children learn best when they grow, learn, and play together in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Supporting children as they grow, learn, and play together every day.
At Cedar Crest, we believe every child deserves a safe, happy, and nurturing place to learn and grow. Our caring and experienced educators create a supportive environment where children feel confident, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them. Through a balance of structured learning and play-based activities, we help develop social, emotional, and early academic skills that build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We partner closely with parents to ensure each child receives the attention, care, and guidance they need to thrive.

Our qualified and caring teachers are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.

Our meals are carefully planned to ensure children receive the nutrition they need for active, happy days of learning and play.

We build strong partnerships with parents through open communication, trust, and shared support for every child.
we focus on providing a safe space for them to develop through all their milestones, to interact with others to develop social skills and establish routine. We do this through quiet and active play, in indoor and outdoor spaces
We start to follow a more structured routine in class. We focus on developing gross and fine motor skills and language development. This is all done through directed and sensory play.
In this class we focus on more structured play, this includes lots of indoor, outdoor and sensory activities. The children start to learn about rules, independence, playing together and sharing.
In this age group we start to focus more on fine motor skills, such as holding a scissor and cutting, gripping a crayon correctly and drawing lines and shapes. We do lots of sensory activities and spend a lot of time learning about how to make smart choices that result in happy consequence.
At this age, the children’s language skills are developed and we start to focus more on developing conversational skills. Gross and smaller motor muscle development continues through indoor and outdoor play. We focus on social and emotional skills. ie. choice and consequence, how to be kind, compassionate and thoughtful. At this age, we are teaching more independence, ie. getting dressed, eating with a fork, going to the toilet, etc
The children are being prepared for grade 1. All the skills they have learnt are now consolidated. Our Grade R learners will now read simple books and have a good understanding of numbers and problem solving skills when they move onto big school.
